3 Years – Kindergarten

Security is our number 1 priority to your family.
Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings you will be given a 3-part security ticket upon your arrival. 1 part is for your child, 1 part is for your child’s bag, and 1 part is your receipt to pick up your child when you return. Nursery/Preschool children will be released only to their parents holding the security ticket.

Wave a quick goodbye at your child’s age appropriate classroom and leave for Bible study and worship service. Your child may cry for a short time when you leave, but activities and a Bible story will soon distract them. You will be contacted if persistent crying occurs.

The Preschool Ministry of Graceview Baptist Church wants to join with the efforts of parents and the church body to help children grow close to God’s heart. Our curriculum helps shape young hearts with God’s Word. Each volunteer/staff member has trusted Christ as their personal Savior and desire to share their trust, knowledge, and love of Christ with children.

“I have taken your words to heart so I would not sin against you.” Psalm 119:11
The materials used in each class are on the great Bible heroes, Bible verses, and God’s values. Children will develop a positive attitude about God, Jesus, and the church. Preschoolers are also encouraged to participate in activities from learning centers such as reading a book, coloring a picture, building with blocks, or preparing a pretend meal.

Your child's teacher will share a Bible story each week and will supplement their learning with historical pictures, art projects, games and activities. We believe children can be led to have a love for God’s Word and apply truth to their lives. Each child will receive a take-home-paper to reinforce the Bible story with your help. Read the story or lesson with your child and participate in the age appropriate activity with your child.

VIPs (Volunteers In Preschool)
Please pray about your participation in spreading the “Good News” of Jesus Christ to our smallest disciples. There is always room for nursery helpers, teachers, teacher assistants, baby rockers, etc. Won’t you join us in loving our children?

Psalm 78:4-7 says: We will not hide them [God’s teachings] from their children; we will tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the LORD, his power, and the wonders he has done. He decreed statutes for Jacob and established the law in Israel, which he commanded our forefathers to teach their children, so the next generation would know them, even the children yet to be born, and they in turn would tell their children. Then they would put their trust in God and would not forget his deeds but would keep his commands.
